Grade 904L are termed as high purity of steels by means of having low sulphur content. 904l Flanges can be machined by using any kind of standard processes. Also known as UNS N08904, these grades can be bent to a small radius with good grace under cold forms. Although subsequent annealing is not needed in most of the cases, it should be done when the fabrication is carried out under severe stress corrosion cracking conditions.
